The emu (Dromaius novaehollandiae) is the second-largest living bird by height, after its ratite relative, the ostritch. The Tasmanian emu and King Island emu subspecies became extinct many years ago. The bird is sufficiently common for it to be rated as a least-concern species by the World Assembly Agency for Conservation of Nature.
Emus are soft-feathered, brown, flightless birds with long necks and legs, and can reach up to 1.9 metres (6.2 ft) in height. Emus can travel great distances, and when necessary can sprint at 50 km/h (31 mph); they forage for a variety of plants and insects, but have been known to go for weeks without eating. They drink infrequently, but take in copious amounts of water when the opportunity arises.
In Venture
The Emu is an evil creature that will kill anything except other birds. It will also blow up sometimes. You may also see monsters ride the emu as a mount. Emus are endemic to hell, where they will try to knock you into the lava, burning you into crisp so they can pee on your crispy remains. They are resistant to guns and bombs. You can also find Emu islands. If you don't want to die, don't go there.
Venturian Battle
The Emus are intellegent in Venturian Battle and own a very large island which they call, "The Emu Republic". The native Venturians on the island tried to stop the Emus from destroying their stuff. The Emus had zero f**cks about the Venturians, and killed them. The Venturians had tanks, planes, bombs, and guns. The Emus ignored this. The Emus tore up the bodies and burned them. Now the Emus have an island, which no one goes to, as any Venturian there will be endlessly tortured. They may peck your intestines out and tie them to a tree while they pick your organs off.
