Scorpions are predatory arachnids of the order Scorpiones. They have eight legs and are easily recognised by the pair of grasping pedipalpsand the narrow, segmented tail, often carried in a characteristic forward curve over the back, ending with a venomous stinger. It also possesess fragile, segmented wings, which are common of other insect species. Scorpions are commonly found making hives in Water Sausages, a long cylinder-shaped flower.

The scorpion hives are known for the cylinder shape, and presence in many gardens. The water sausage is a popular garden plant, and may be found in many gardens. The plant is also found in houses as a potted flower. Some of these garden sausages may contain Scorpion hives.
Usage[]
Scorpions are renowned for being the only predator of the invasive Venturian Hornet. They are usually introduced into ecosystems to combat the growing threat. They also are useful for honey farms. Inside the hives, lots of scorpions produce honey. Scorpion Honey is made similar to bee honey, and is a very popular item.

All known scorpion species possess venom and use it primarily to kill or paralyze their prey so that it can be eaten. In general, it is fast-acting, allowing for effective prey capture. However, as a general rule, they will kill their prey with brute force if they can, as opposed to using venom. It is also used as a defense against predators. The venom is a mixture of compounds (neurotoxins, enzyme inhibitors, etc.) each not only causing a different effect but possibly also targeting a specific animal. Each compound is made and stored in a pair of glandular sacs and is released in a quantity regulated by the scorpion itself.

In Venture, Scorpions are neutral insects that appear naturally. They can be found around Hives, and if they are attacked, they'll swarm the player and poison them.
