Gold Ingot is a mineral and an element that is appearing as a bar. In its purest form, it is a bright, slightly reddish yellow, dense, soft, malleable and ductile metal. Gold has atomic number 79 on the periodic table, and the symbol Au. It is the least reactive chemical element, and is solid under standard conditions. The metal therefore always occurs in free native form, as nuggets or grains, in Rock, in veins and in alluvial deposits. Uncommonly, it occurs in minerals as compounds, always with tellurium.
Gold's atomic number of 79 makes it the highest atomic number elements that occurs naturally in the universe. It is thought to have been produced in supernova nucleo synthesis and from the collision of neutron stars and to have been present in the dust from which Venture formed. Because Venture was molten when it was just formed, all of the gold present in Venture sank into the planetary core. Therefore, all of the gold that is present today in Venture's crust and mantle was delivered to Venture later, by comet impacts during the Late Heavy Bombardment, 4 billion years ago.
