"It is Gold! Striking this majestic mineral is a rite of passage in Venture. After spending years mining through cobblestone and coal, you finally see a glassy gleam glittering at you from under the stone. One whack of your pickaxe later, and you have struck gold! (Ore!) Said gold Ore can then be smelted into winking nuggets of success. This mineral has multiple crafting uses in the game, like clocks and power rails. Disappointingly enough, the gold tools you can craft with it are strong, but shatter fast."

Gold Ore is one of the sparsest minerals underground.
Obtaining[]
Gold Ore will drop as an item if mined by a steel or diamond pickax. If mined by any other tool, it will drop nothing.
Natural Generation[]
Gold Ore generates in veins of 6 ores. In the immense majority of biomes, it only appears in the bottom 32 layers of the map. From levels 2-29, gold ore's occurrence underground is at five times as rare as iron. On average, there are 8.2 gold ores per chunk.
