Shooters can spawn anywhere at a night.
Shooters are 1.99 meters tall.
Shooters drop 0-2 bullets upon death.
Shooters drop 5 XP when killed by a player.
Shooters spawn in dimly lit areas, and will burn in sunlight. When shooters are nearby, their presence is indicated by the intermittent harsh rattling sound. Shooters will chase any player they see within sixteen meters, and will climb stairs, navigate mazes, and traverse other complex obstacles in order to get within shooting range. When they are within eight meters of the player with a clear line of sight, they will stop chasing and start shooting the player with bullets. They will strafe during the process, and will retreat to safe range if the player comes too close to them. If the player moves more than sixteen meters away from the shooter, it will cease pursuit. Skeletons can attempt to avoid damage from the player by continuously circling around them while shooting at them.
I first came up with Shooters to variously follow the players when approached, like Cannibals. Later on, the Shooters were going to fire magenta bullets, and fire bullets at a fast and varying rate, and shoot 6 bullets in all directions when dying. Bullets fired would be able to be picked up and used. Shooters' would drop 0-2 bullets after death. I decided to have shooters wear breastplates (that gives no protection) and take 5 hits to kill and give 120 points when killed.
Shooters no longer wear breastplates and they have no attack animation. Their indigo bullets were replaced with brown ones.
- There is a tribe of shooters called the Gal.
